New York Giant reportedly finds home vandalized with racist messages
New York Giants fullback Nikita Whitlock and his family came home to find their apartment ransacked, items stolen and – worst of all – walls tagged with racist, hate-filled graffiti.
According to CBS New York, it’s not the first time this has happened at the apartment the Whitlocks have lived in for less than six months.
From CBS:
“It just re-establishes that no matter where you are, no matter who you are, this can happen to you,” he said.
He tells CBS2’s Valerie Castro that this time, his wife Ashley and their two young children were only away for a few hours when the vandals made their way in through a small window.
“It’s very disgusting actually, it’s very disheartening,” she said. “You hear about things that do happen but you never think ‘Oh, this is going to happen to me.’”
The Whitlocks have filed a police report and local authorities are investigating.
