New Jersey Devils troll fan who DM'd them daily to draft Jack Hughes
There was almost no doubt that the New Jersey Devils’ first overall selection in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft would be USNTDP forward Jack Hughes. But the small chance that Kaapo Kakko could sneak into that first spot worried one fan enough to take matters into his own hands.
The Twitter account @P_Rut5, self proclaimed “Jack Hughes Fanatic” sent many, many DMs to the Devils’ twitter account, reminding them to draft Hughes almost every single day since the lottery.

The Devils exposed the account by posting this hilarious, and dramatic, video of what went down in the DMs. Imagine the social media manager getting push notifications from this account every single day. No wonder they took their revenge online to roast the fan.
