There was never a 'Man in White', says former Blue Jays catcher J.P. Arencibia

J.P. Arencibia doesn’t have time for your conspiracy theories.

And, according to the former Blue Jays catcher and co-host of the Digging In with J.P. Arencibia podcast, the accusations over the years that the team has stolen signs with the help of a “man in white” in the outfield are unfounded and ridiculous.

“If we’re getting these signs from the supposed Man in White, no one’s giving them to me, because I’m hitting .220,” Arencibia laughed.

“I’ve gone to other teams and (they) have asked, ‘hey dude, you’re not on the Blue Jays anymore, like how do you get the signs?’ And I’m like, ‘dude, are you dumb?’ The time lapse for all of this stuff to happen is impossible, and it’s so stupid that we still have to sit here and talk about sign stealing.”

Time to finally bury that sign-stealing narrative, it seems.
