What needs to happen by deadline - the fans' verdict
We asked what you have made of West Ham's transfer window so far, and what needs to be done on deadline day.
Here are some of your comments:
David: Probably another holding midfielder like Carlos Soler. We're looking to sell James Ward-Prowse, but all in all a very successful summer so not much is needed.
Martin: The summer signings look promising and at least an in-depth squad. Lopetegui's task is bonding the squad, a culture of 'don't expect weekly games' and equalising every player's value at every match. Not sure of a Ward-Prowse exit.
Alec: It doesn't matter who they sign if they don't play... the performances so far don't look any different, or better, than under David Moyes. No cohesion, plenty of apathy and a propensity to give the ball away without being able to recover it.
Rob: I cannot see how we can continue to 'overlook' the need for a younger, quicker and more agile striker. You need a variety of abilities and attributes to effect games. It feels like we now have a squad depth, quality-wise, that we haven't enjoyed for years. For me... all good. The caveat is that striker!
David: We need cover at left-back, centre forward and a dynamic box-to-box midfielder who can link play to the forwards.
