NBA-National Basketball Association roundup

Aug 3 (The Sports Xchange) - Adidas has submitted a bid of $200 million over 13 years to sign a sponsorship deal with Houston Rockets guard James Harden, according to ESPN.com. Harden's sponsorship deal with Nike recently expired and they have until the end of next week to match the Adidas deal or lose him. Adidas is giving up its uniform deal with the NBA after Nike made a $1 billion bid in June to take over beginning with the 2017-18 season. Harden, 25, averaged 27.4 points, 7.0 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game last season and finished second behind Golden State's Stephen Curry in the MVP voting. -- The Denver Nuggets restructured the deal with forward Danilo Gallinari and signed him to multi-year contract extension, the team announced. Details of the contract were not released, but Fox Sports reported two weeks ago that the Nuggets were finalizing a two-year contract extension with Gallinari that will pay him an additional $34 million through the 2017-2018 season. -- The Minnesota Timberwolves officially signed veteran guard Andre Miller to a contract. Terms were not disclosed, but the deal reportedly is for one year at the veteran minimum for Miller, who averaged 4.4 points and 3.5 assists and 15.5 minutes with Washington and Sacramento last season. -- The Miami Heat signed guard Josh Richardson to a rookie contract. Terms were not disclosed, but the deal reportedly could earn Richardson at least $2.5 million over the next three years. Richardson was selected in the second round (40th overall) by the Heat in the NBA draft in June. (Editing by Larry Fine) ))
