Giannis Antetokounmpo has fun with Bucks OT celebration, orders Philly cheesesteak during interview

Giannis Antetokounmpo had another monster night for the Milwaukee Bucks in a 109-105 overtime win against the Philadelphia 76ers on the road Wednesday.

The reigning two-time NBA MVP celebrated in pure Philly fashion. He made sure he got a cheesesteak along with some ordering assistance in the postgame interview. It may not have perked up 76ers faithful after his celebration elicited a rain of boos on the court.

Giannis has fun with OT celebration

The Bucks erased a 19-point deficit to come back against the East-leading 76ers and win in overtime. Antetokounmpo scored seven straight to pull the Bucks away before late free throws sealed it.

After a 19-foot step back jumper grew the lead to 105-98 with 1:12 on the clock he sat down and crossed his arms behind the 3-point line. The Bucks cheers quickly switched to Philadelphia jeers with about 3,000 fans in the arena.

"Is there something wrong with having fun?" Antetokounmpo said in the postgame interview. "I don't think there's anything wrong with having fun. I just like to have fun. In the first half, I was not having fun."

Antetokounmpo had 18 points in the third and fourth quarters to finish with 32 points and 15 rebounds. He was 13-for-22 from the floor, making only one of his five 3-point attempts. But he did it in the final two minutes of overtime when it was a one-possession game. It came directly before his sit-down moment.

"Obviously, there's a couple times where I exaggerate, but I don't take anything back," he said. "I wasn't thinking, 'Oh, I'm going to sit down.' I was just having fun."

He went on to share a photo of his celebration on Twitter to really get the point across.

76ers Howard has different view of fun

Philadelphia center Dwight Howard obviously had a different view of the situation. He told reporters after the game he and his teammates noticed the celebration and weren't happy about it.

“Oh yeah,” Howard said, via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “I wanted to go and ‘Stone Cold Stunner’ him but I had already gotten one tech.

"It’s basketball. He wanted to have fun. But you know we’ll see these guys again. We don’t want to make a big scene about what he did. But today we allowed them to get back in the game. So what he did, we can't control that.

What they can control is what happens the next time out. The 76ers are still atop the Eastern Conference standings with the Brooklyn Nets. The Bucks aren't far behind.

“I’m not one to talk trash or say anything negative, but we’ll see them again and it’ll be a different result," Howard said.

The Bucks (26-14) and 76ers (28-13) next meet in late April for back-to-back games in Milwaukee.

Giannis learns about Philly cheesesteaks

The fun didn't stop for Antetokounmpo at the final buzzer. He got a lesson in proper cheesesteak ordering techniques when he asked for one during the postgame interview.

The "Whiz wit" is a cheesesteak with Cheese Whiz and onions. "Whiz" is for Cheese Whiz and "wit" is for "with." Many order provolone cheese by using "provi."

The order is important and goes cheese, onions ("wit" or "witout") and then the regular names of any other toppings you might want.

Although all of Milwaukee might start using "whiz whiz" for their orders now that Giannis has had his fun "wit" it.
