Drake calls Raptors' Kyle Lowry during live presser, claims to be his translator

If this was Kyle Lowry’s final press conference as a member of the Toronto Raptors, it definitely was a memorable one.

With the franchise star linked to multiple trade rumours ahead of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline, his performance on Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets could signal the end of his tenure with the team. The potential grand finale with the squad he spent nine seasons with was noteworthy on multiple fronts.

The historic broadcast of the contest featured women in every on-air role, and the Raptors were able to pull off an impressive 135-111 win over the Nuggets.

The excitement didn’t end there, however, as Lowry was interrupted during his post-game press conference by the NBA’s most famous Global Ambassador and now translator, apparently, Drake.

Have to respect Drizzy’s commitment to helping the organization in any way he can.

Additionally, Lowry took some time to shout out the women — Amy Audibert, Kate Beirness, Kayla Grey, Meghan McPeak and Kia Nurse — who were part of the landmark NBA broadcast.

In just over 33-minutes on the court, Lowry produced eight points, five rebounds, nine assists and was a plus-42, registering the second-highest plus-minus by any player in team history.

If this was Lowry’s final game with Toronto, he’s leaving with nothing but respect from every single one of the team’s fans.
