Warriors signing Andre Iguodala, trade Richard Jefferson, Andris Biedrins to Jazz

Andre Iguodala has reached agreement on a four-year, $48 million contract with the Golden State Warriors, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The agreement came after the Warriors cleared $24 million in salary-cap room by agreeing to send the expiring contracts of Richard Jefferson, Andris Biedrins and Brandon Rush to the Utah Jazz, league sources told Y! Sports. Golden State also will send multiple draft picks to Utah, including its 2014 and '17 first-round picks, sources told Y! Sports.

The Jazz also will receive multiple second-round picks from Golden State. The Warriors will take back Kevin Murphy, who has a non-guaranteed $788,000 contract for the 2013-14 season.

Golden State general manager Bob Myers and Iguodala's agent, Rob Pelinka, SFX colleagues for six years under Arn Tellem, worked furiously over the past 48 hours to help clear the salary-cap space and execute the agreement for Iguodala.

Iguodala, 29, was one of the top free agents on this year's free-agent market. He averaged 13 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists last season for the Denver Nuggets. The Sacramento Kings had made Iguodala a four-year, $56 million proposal, but rescinded it after he wanted more time to decide. The Nuggets offered Iguodala a four-year, $52 million deal – as well as five-year proposals – before he accepted the Warriors' offer, sources said.

The Warriors also are one of five teams to meet with Dwight Howard, the star of this year's free-agent class. They are continuing to explore making other roster moves and the agreement with Iguodala doesn't necessarily preclude them from also landing Howard.

The Warriors have $2.8 million in cap space left after the agreement with Iguodala. If they can move Andrew Bogut, they could offer Howard a deal starting at $14 million.

The Warriors can also pursue sign-and-trade scenarios with the Lakers, if Howard wants to join Golden State.

The Warriors have $2.8 million in cap space after the agreement with Iguodala, but could potentially clear more if they move Andrew Bogut.

Jefferson will make $11 million in the 2013-14 season, the last year of his deal. Biedrins, also in the last year of his contract, will make $9 million. Rush will make $4 million.
