It did not even take the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs a game before tempers started to flare.

Late in Game 1, Maple Leafs centre Nazem Kadri delivered a pair of hits in quick succession that landed him in trouble.

The first hit occurred behind the Maple Leafs net where Kadri caught Tommy Wingels facing the boards. On second look, it does appear that Kadri actually got Wingels from the side, but regardless of the technicalities, the Leafs forward sat two minutes for boarding.

Unlike the first infraction, there really is no two ways about this hit. Kadri swings his entire midsection at the head area of Wingels. This number landed the Maple Leafs agitator a five-minute misconduct and he was ejected from the game.

One would have to believe that Kadri will face further discipline from the National Hockey League and he could be at risk of a suspension.
