N.L. born goalie drafted by the St. Louis Blues

St. John's born goaltender Evan Fitzpatrick has been selected by the St. Louis Blues 59th overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

The 6'3', 205 pound puck stopper played last season for the Sherbrooke Phoenix in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Fitzpatrick minded the crease for the Canada in the Under-18 World Championships helping the team secure a fourth place finish in the 2016 tournament.

The St. John's born player left the province at the age of 14 to attend New Bridge Academy in Nova Scotia.
