Morgan Hackman Commits To Minnesota
Nanaimo Clippers forward Morgan Hackman has committed to the University of Minnesota, it was announced Friday.
Hackman, who hails from Vernon. B.C., is in his first BCHL season with the Clippers where he has gone pointless in 15 games.
Prior to making the jump to the junior level this year, Hackman spent the 2023-24 season playing for RINK HA Kelowna U18 Prep, scoring 10 goals and adding 13 assists for 23 points in 29 regular season games.
Scheduled to join the Gophers in the fall of 2026, Hackman has displayed solid abilities in the corners and along the boards, shielding the puck well and showing an ability to navigate into open space. While he has yet to register a point, Hackman has the skills that should allow him to get rolling soon.
