Watch: MLB running commercials for new rules featuring All-Stars and celebrities

Major League Baseball, wanting to educate the fans this season about its new rule changes, is airing a series of entertaining commercials with players, managers and celebrities starting Thursday, a week before opening day.

Here are the commercials:

San Diego Padres pitcher Blake Snell, a former Cy Young winner, asks Chicago White Sox All-Star shortstop Tim Anderson to help pick up his hat only to be rejected by Anderson, since he’s strictly observing the new rule banning infielders from shifting:

New York Mets slugger Daniel Vogelbach, who doesn’t have a stolen base in his career, is trying to convince manager Buck Showalter he should try it with the enlarged bases:

Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto can’t believe he actually gets a hit when his ground ball goes through a non-shifted infield:

New York Yankees pitcher Nestor Cortes pleads with catcher Jose Trevino to accelerate his pace on a treadmill to prepare for the new pitch clock:

– Actor Bryan Cranston watches a series of baseball clips and celebrates baseball becoming an even better game with the new rules.
