Mile Svilar before Roma-Lecce: “We need to focus on getting results.”
Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar discussed this evening’s league fixture against Lecce—urging his side to worry about getting results rather than their current position in the Serie A table.
Sitting just two points above the relegation line, the Giallorossi are searching for their first league win since October 31st and their first since Claudio Ranieri’s return last month.
“It’s tough to see where we are in the table right now, but we shouldn’t focus on that too much,” Svilar to Sky Sport.
“We just need to concentrate on getting positive results. It’s hard to pin-point what’s been the specific issue, but obviously we have to start getting positive results. That’s the only thing that matters.”
Finally, Svilar was asked if there’s added pressure this evening given Roma vice president Ryan Friedkin will be in attendance for the first time since September.
“There’s nothing to say, our focus is on the game and getting three points. We haven’t spoken to him today: we’re focused completely on this game.”
