Mike Trout is one of the best baseball players on the planet. And even while he’s on the disabled list, he is bringing some heat to the field with the release of the Nike Force Zoom Trout 4 cleats that he revealed on Instagram.
“The time and dedication Nike put behind this cleat, and all the people that helped me build this, it’s unbelievable. I can’t thank them enough,” Trout said in his post.
Nike baseball added a post of the cleat and trainer that shows just how sick the design is.
Playing on Trout’s last name, the bottom of the cleat is pretty spectacular — giving a resemblance to a fish and its scales.
The fish-inspired theme continued with this signature colorway nicknamed “Mahi,” according to Nike.com.
For now, though, we won’t be seeing Trout rock his fourth signature cleat on the field. The Los Angeles Angels center fielder has been on the disabled list since May 29 with a torn UCL in his left thumb.
But for baseball’s sake, and so we can see these cleats in action, we hope to see the reigning American League MVP back on the field soon.
