Mike Napoli's a one man party machine as Indians celebrate clincher
Goggles were worn and fizzy beverages were sprayed on Monday night after the Cleveland Indians clinched their first AL Central division title since 2007. And as you’d expect from a team that hasn’t won their division in nine years, there was a lot of celebration.
Catcher Mike Napoli seemed like the guy who was ready to party more than any of his teammates. There may have been a celebration in the clubhouse, but he understands the true nature of partying.
The party is “wherever I’m going,” for I am a one man party, ready to spread joy at a moment’s notice. Andrew W.K. should get Napoli to appear on his Power of Partying tour. At the very least, Napoli should consider using “Party Hard” as his walk-up music.
Napoli wasn’t the only guy having fun, of course. It looked like a good time was had by all. Pitcher Carlos Carrasco celebrated despite his injury, and also caught two Indians employees opening huge bins of champagne bottles with desperate quickness.

Jose Ramirez, breakout utility infielder, held a golden bottle of champagne aloft and cheered his brains out.

WKYC sports anchor Dave Chudowsky caught the ritual group champagne spray.

And as Cleveland sports reporter Matt Loede observes in this video, it’s hard to do interviews when the person you’re interviewing is being targeted with sprays of beer and champagne.

No one was safe from the spray of bubbly, not even broadcasters.

And here’s Lonnie Chisenhall being denied his TV time.
"This is my TV time"@BIGLON8 takes over as reporter after the @Indians' celebration overtakes @DreKnott pic.twitter.com/uk38GpvbVk

Chisenhall yelling “I’M TRYING TO BE PROFESSIONAL!” might be the best highlight behind Mike Napoli the one man party machine.
