Alabama defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach Jeremy Pruitt and his wife are apparently paying tribute to former Tide linebackers Tim Anderson and Reuben Foster in a big way.

Pruitt introduced the world to Flynt Anderson-Foster Pruitt on Tuesday.

You’ll notice Flynt’s hyphenated middle name, which is in honor of both Anderson and Foster according to Anderson’s Instagram.

Both linebackers were selected in the 2017 NFL draft. Foster was chosen in the first round by the San Francisco 49ers while Anderson was a second-round pick of the Washington Redskins. They were both huge parts of an Alabama defense that propelled the Tide to a third-straight College Football Playoff appearance.

Pruitt was Anderson and Foster’s defensive coordinator for the 2016 season after coming over from Georgia when former Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart became the Bulldogs’ head coach. While the SEC’s “It just means more” commercial is easily mocked, Pruitt’s middle name choice is pretty good evidence of the impact of SEC football.
