Yahoo Sports Michelle Waterson Out of Key UFC 194 Preliminary Bout
The UFC 194: Aldo vs. McGregor fight card, set for Dec. 12 in Las Vegas, took a hit on Tuesday, as Michelle “Karate Hottie” Waterson has dropped of the bill.
Waterson reportedly suffered an injury and had to pull out of her planned fight with Tecia Torres, according to MMAJunkie.com.
While Waterson vs. Torres was slated for the preliminary portion of the event, it was a pivotal bout on the stacked fight card. Jose Aldo looks to unify his UFC featherweight championship with the interim belt wrapped around Conor McGregor‘s waist in the UFC 194 main event, while middleweight champ Chris Weidman looks to defend his title against Luke Rockhold in the co-main event.

The winner of the Waterson vs. Torres bout would have emerged as one of the leading contenders to UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk. With Waterson out of the fight, the UFC is left to try and line up a new opponent for Torres.
