Miami Dolphins select Tua Tagovailoa in 2020 NFL Draft: Fantasy players will have to wait for the talented rookie

With the fifth pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select Tua Tagovailoa, quarterback of the Alabama Crimson Tide!

We all know what Tua did in Alabama — when he was healthy. And that’s the key here with the rookie. Is he fully healthy? Can he stay healthy?

Fantasy football analyst Liz Loza thinks that we’ll have to wait to see Tua on an NFL field as a starter, and as a fantasy viable asset, too. Not only do the Dolphins have to continue to build the offensive line in front of Tua, but they still have Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Another major issue is we don’t know what training camp will be like or when it will start. He might not be able to get the reps needed to take over the starting job. All of this spells some time sitting and learning for Tua.

All that said, Liz thinks Tua’s ceiling is Drew Brees, so while we’ll have to wait on him, if all goes well, it will be worth it.
