It used to be that artistic swimming -- AKA synchronized swimming -- was an Olympic sport only for women.

But that's no longer the case for the 2024 Paris Olympics. That's the good news!

In 2022, the International Olympic Committee IOC announced changes to the rules. Now, up to two men can be part of the team artistic swimming events that involve a total of eight swimmers. They're not allowed in the duets.

The bad news? You won't see a man liked the United States's Bill May in the competition since none were chosen for the Paris Olympics. But in future Summer Olympics? It's possible!
