The Y2K fashion revival has been kicking around for a while now and, despite witnessing the return of everything from low-rise trousers to exposed thongs, it seems there are even more millennial trends yet to be revived - just ask Megan Fox. This weekend, the 36-year-old went and debuted a look that takes us straight back to 2004.

Now, if you're lucky enough to not know what the term 'jeggings' means, lemme explain. Back in the day, one of *the* hottest pieces in your wardrobe was a pair of elastic-blend jeans that were so tight, they were practically leggings. BUT they were made out of a material that looked like denim, hence the birth of the hybrid phrase 'jeggings'. Basically, if you had a school mufti day between the years 2004 and 2008, jeggings probably featured in your meticulously crafted 'fit. Anywayyyy, Megan Fox has gone and brought the 2000s staple into 2022, by turning into a head-to-toe mood.

Megan's latest Instagram post shows the star repping a baby pink catsuit that looks like it's made from two pieces of spray-on denim. Captioned "deadly nightshade 🌸🙇🏻♀️", the pics show Megan accessorising the look with a pair of knee-high boots and a fluffy bucket hat (another iconic 2000s trend), both in a Cadbury purple tone. Heck, she even matches her mani to the boots, so this whole get-up is very considered.

Fans were very into the snaps, commenting on the post:

the babe of all babes🦄

Yup, this is the character I’m choosing

looks that could kill 😈💜

A day earlier, Megan shared another edgy denim look with her followers, making an explicit reference to an iconic noughties fashion moment - Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake's matching denim at the 2001 American Music Awards.

Her caption? "Britney and Justin if they had been Greenwich Village art school drop outs instead of Disney channel sweethearts":

While I might not be quite ready to reintroduce some of these denim trends back into my wardrobe juuuust yet, I'm living for the fashion nostalgia Megan's bringing right now.
