Meb Keflezighi had some fun after falling at the finish line

Meb Keflezighi didn’t have his best marathon on Sunday morning. The 41-year-old American struggled throughout the course in Rio, vomiting at one point and stopping at a few others.

Nonetheless, Keflezighi made the best of things, an approach that was perfectly captured in the final few feet of his race. With the road still wet from an early rain, Keflezighi lost his balance and slipped just short of the finish line.

Keflezighi took it all in stride, though, doing three pushups before picking himself and crossing the line in 33rd place with a time of 2 hours, 16 minutes, 46 seconds.

Keflezighi was running in his fourth Olympic marathon and took home a silver medal from the 2004 Athens Games. At 41, he’s the oldest runner to represent the United States in an Olympic marathon.
