McDonald's Is About To Spice Up Their Menu & Customers Have Thoughts

It looks like things are heating up at McDonald's this month, if rumors about a new spicy Quarter Pounder are true.

Whispers of the new burger surfaced several days ago when someone on Reddit posted a photo of two McDonald's boxes that were labeled "slice jalapeño peppers" and "cheddar cheese sauce pouch." The person who posted the images then asked fellow Redditors if they knew anything about the mysterious contents of each box.

According to some of the responses, the chain is gearing up to release a new menu item: the Cheesy Jalapeño Bacon Quarter Pounder.

"Cheesy Bacon Jalapeño Quarter Pounder. It starts soon, I think soft sell is next week," one person wrote.

"Saw the paper for it yesterday. Apparently we will be getting a new bacon jalapeño burger soon, I think the cheese sauce might go on it as well," another Redditor added.

Unlike the OG Quarter Pounder, the Cheesy Bacon Jalapeño Quarter Pounder is said to be topped with two slices of American cheese, three half-strips of Applewood Smoked bacon, jalapeños, and cheese sauce.

The Reddit thread also included several responses from people eager to get their hands on the burger.

"Finally, a burger that will make my taste buds cry... tears of joy!" said one user.

There were those who were particularly excited about the return of jalapeños to McDonald's. One person specifically pointed out how "anti-spice" the restaurant has been over the last few years.

"Omg! I missed the jalapeños at mcdonalds. Mcdonalds went anti-spice for last 10 years," they wrote.
