A showcase featuring the best high school basketball players in America was soured shortly after the game when a massive brawl broke out in the concourse of the United Center.

Approximately a dozen fans attending the McDonald’s All-American game began fighting with each other in a violent scene that was captured on video. Organizers of the event quickly condemned the violence in a statement released to Michael O’Brien of the Chicago Sun-Times.

Naturally, we are disappointed by this kind of activity, which runs counter to the spirit of the McDonald’s All-American Games. But we are equally grateful to the United Center Security team and the Chicago Police for restoring order. We refer all further questions to the Chicago Police.
