'Maybe Mo knows about 115 charges' - Slot on Salah's Man City comments
Liverpool boss Arne Slot has given his thoughts on the transfer speculation surrounding Mohamed Salah.
Salah's current deal at Anfield expires at the end of the season with the Egypt international free to talk to other clubs from January.
Salah himself spoke after Liverpool's win over Manchester City on Sunday revealing that it could well be his last game against the reigning champions.
And now Slot has given his jokey response to the protracted saga around the forward.
"Maybe Mo knows more about the 115 charges so doesn't expect them to be in the Premier League next season," Slot said.
"That was a joke by the way," he added.
The boring answer is always the same. This is not the place for me to talk about Mo's contract."
Slot was then asked about how his side will prepare for six away games in their next nine fixtures, including a trip to Newcastle on Wednesday and Everton at the weekend.
"If Liverpool are first, second, third or fourth it is always a special game for the teams we face.
"If Liverpool comes, the stadium is sold out. They want the best game against us. It's good for me that it's not only us who plays so many games.
"Normally we play teams who are rested in the week, but now, many teams have many games. Because it's England.
"That six of the next nine are away makes it even more difficult. But we are ready for it."
Liverpool travel to St James' Park tomorrow with a nine point lead at the top of the Premier League.
