Matthew Ryan already communicating in Italian just weeks after Roma move

Matthew Ryan has proven to be an important addition to the locker room in just a few weeks since his move to Roma.

The Australian goal-keeper is second in line behind Mile Svilar among Daniele De Rossi’s ranks.

Yesterday, Ryan featured in his third friendly for Roma, in the 4-0 win over Barnsley.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the 32-year-old shot-stopper was already heard communicating in Italian with his new teammates on the pitch.

The veteran’s transition from AZ Alkmaar to Roma was smoother than expected and Ryan quickly overcame the initial language barrier: a big positive ahead of the new season.
