Matt Brown Faces Jake Ellenberger at UFC 201 in Atlanta

Welterweight veterans Matt Brown and Jake Ellenberger have verbally agreed to meet at UFC 201 on July 30. ESPN first reported the match-up on Thursday.

Brown (20-14) is coming off of a submission loss to Demian Maia at UFC 198 on May 14. “The Immortal” was on the cusp of a title shot in 2014 after putting together a seven-fight winning streak, but has come up short against the top of the division. He's lost three of his last four fights to Robbie Lawler, Johny Hendricks, and Maia.

Ellenberger (30-11) is in desperate need of a win. He's lost five of his last six fights and hasn't put together back-to-back wins since 2013. “The Juggernaut” may be fighting for his job when he faces Brown.
