Mascoutah account executive wins national award for outstanding performance

A Mascoutah woman has won The Chairman’s Circle Award for her outstanding performance as a recruitment account executive for McClatchy, a national digital media company that owns the BND and other news organizations nationwide.

It is the second year in a row that Sharon Peterson has won the award presented annually to McClatchy’s highest performing sales professionals.

Peterson is a seasoned sales professional who has a reputation for bringing in new clients and consistently exceeding her annual sales goal.

A military veteran who lives in Mascoutah with her family, Peterson represents McClatchy markets all across the country. She has been with the company for 26-plus years, starting at the BND in 1997 and focusing on recruitment advertising for much of her career.

Peterson is one of 14 people who won the award announced this week by the McClatchy executive team.
