Marvel's Tom Hiddleston is narrating new Apple docuseries

Loki star Tom Hiddleston has been confirmed for a new Apple TV+ docuseries.

The actor will narrate for wildlife programme Big Beasts, which will premiere on the streaming platform on Friday, April 21 and run for ten episodes (via Deadline).

Two years in the making and filmed across 17 different countries, it visits the globe's most captivating giants, including the elephant seal, giant otter, gorilla, hippopotamus, polar bear, giraffe and gray whale.

Big Beasts comes from the team behind Apple TV+ series Tiny World, which was narrated by Paul Rudd. Tom Hugh-Jones (Planet Earth II), Grant Mansfield (Hostile Planet) and Martha Holmes (Life) are executive producing.

Hiddleston has previous in the narration business, having lent his voice to Apple TV+'s Earth at Night in Colour, which aired for two seasons between 2020 and 2021.

In addition to Big Beasts, Hiddleston will be back in the titular role of Marvel's Loki, which is releasing its second season later this year on Disney+.

Commenting on the God of Mischief one year ago, the actor said: "I'm a temporary torchbearer. I've always thought that. It's a great role. It's an archetype, the trickster god, the agent of chaos. I'm just here interpreting that for the time being."

He also shared in 2021: "I am so grateful that we got to do season 1, I still am not quite able to process that we get to have another go at this. I am so excited by the possibilities. We are already in discussions. Deep, deep, deep discussions. I can't wait to get started."

Loki season 2 will soon stream on Disney+.
