There were so many Halloweddings this weekend — here are some of the best

“‘Til death do us part” takes on a whole new meaning when your wedding coincides with the creepiest day of the year.

A Hallowedding is, you guessed it, a wedding that occurs on or around Halloween. But not just any Halloween-weekend wedding is a Hallowedding. The couple has to embrace the Halloween theme.

Take this couple, for example. Darren and Deb are so dedicated to the holiday, they stood at the cobweb-covered altar dressed as a zombie bride and groom, and allowed their readers to wear costumes.

The most magical night I could have ever asked for Thank you to our good friend @samantha_f_christina for capturing this beautiful moment . . #halloveen2017 #gothwedding #darkvictorianwedding #fallwedding #hallowedding

#Halloweddings was trending almost as hard as #Halloween was this weekend, and it’s very clear why. Here are some of our favorites.

This upstate New York couple incorporated a lot of Halloween-friendly colors into their wedding attire — bride Rachel Defilippis wore black lipstick and carried a black and maroon bouquet.

These flowers girls wore black leather jackets over their purple dresses, and black combat boots. They also had black flowers in their bouquets. Somehow, they still looked angelic.

At Nick and Kayla’s wedding, Kayla went even further with a gorgeous black lace wedding gown. She accessorized with vampire teeth and her groom accessorized with a scary hockey mask and an orange tie. We love their Hallowedding spirit.

~ Congratulations Nick & Kayla!! The Lewis "Hallowedding" was a success!! Loved every minute of it & I'm so happy for you both . Glad to have been a part of your big day ✨ #lewishallowedding #october #wedding #hallowedding #halloween #memories #love ~

Then there are the couples who let their wedding party get in on the fun. While this bride also wore a black gown, and her husband wore a fun top hat, the bridesmaids wore delicate lace black masquerade masks. The groomsmen wore similar masks. The best part of their wedding might have been the scull-covered cake, though.

While this couple’s personal wedding attire was a little more subtly-Halloween themed, their bridal party’s attire was not. The maid of honor seemed to be wearing a huge blowup dinosaur suit.

Another couple was married two weeks ago by the grim reaper — or maybe a monk — and the bride wore a black and gray mermaid-style gown. Her groom wore a green tie that matched her green tattoos. She wore dark makeup, and they both wore masks down the pumpkin-lined aisle.

Black gowns and tattoos are par for the course when it comes to Halloweddings. So is fiery red hair, it seems.

Other couples integrate the fall holiday into their big day a little more lightly, like Christina and Corey. Christina wore a more traditional wedding gown, but added a black sash around the waist. Corey’s tie and boutonniere were orange.

Then, there are those who don’t wear their Halloween theme, but trusted their guests to bring their best Halloween game. And by guests, we mean the non-speaking sort. While Ryan and Jenny wore more typical attire — him in a black suit and her in a gorgeous white tulle ballgown with a bedazzled bodice — they had creepy crawlers as their accessories.

Had such an amazing time last night, honestly my face still hurts from smiling every time I saw these two crazy kids just being madly in love
