Manchester United agree double deal to sign defensive duo
Manchester United have reached an agreement to sign Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt after weeks of negotiations, according to the reliable David Ornstein.
The Red Devils have agreed to pay €45m (£38.6m), plus a further €5m (£4.1m) in potential add-ons, with the defender set to sign a five year deal with an option for a sixth.
Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag's side have also agreed a deal worth 20m euros (£17m) for fullback Noussair Mazraoui, though the deal depends on Manchester United parting ways with current right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is in talks over a move to West Ham United.
The Red Devils are in action this afternoon as they face Manchester City in the Community Shield.
