Manchester City forward Oscar Bobb has fractured a bone in his leg according to multiple reliable sources.

BBC Sport's Simon Stone, the Daily Mail's Jack Gaughan and others have stated that the 21-year-old suffered the injury in a non-contact situation during training on Wednesday.

All reports so far say that the extent of the injury is still unclear, with City yet to comment.

Bobb had been earmarked for a major role this season with Pep Guardiola's side, and had impressed from the start in Sunday's Community Shield, which City won on penalties against local rivals Manchester United.

The potential long-term absence of the Norwegian international, coupled with the sale of Julián Álvarez, could see the Premier League champions dip into the market in the coming weeks.
