Major Wright to visit Buccaneers

Former Chicago Bears safety Major Wright is on his way to visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Wright played for Buccaneers coach Lovie Smith and defensive assistants when he was with the Bears.

One of Lovie Smith’s former charges with the Bears is going to visit with Smith and his new team this week.

A 2010 third-round draft pick from Florida, Wright had a career-high 100 tackles, two interceptions and two forced fumbles last season. He had a career-high four interceptions in 2012 to go along with 71 tackles and eight pass deflections.

"Blessed and grateful to finally get this journey started," Wright wrote on Twitter. "It's going to be great to see familiar old faces in Tampa."
