Lowe leaves Preston five days before Swansea trip

We already have the Championship's first managerial departure of the season - after just one game.

Preston North End say Ryan Lowe has left "by mutual consent" following their opening 2-0 defeat by Sheffield United on Friday night.

Preston visit Swansea City for their second game of the campaign this Saturday, and they'll have a familiar face in the dugout.

Mike Marsh, who was part of the Swans' staff under former boss Steve Cooper, will be in charge at the Swansea.com Stadium, with ex-Wales striker Ched Evans alongside him.
