Mohamed Salah was not about to let Liverpool start its congested fixture schedule off on the wrong foot.

Salah scored two great goals in a 2-0 win over Watford, which pushed Liverpool’s lead atop the Premier League to 10 points for the time being.

The Reds will play eight times in 23 days across the league, League Cup, FA Cup and Club World Cup. This is extreme even by English standards, where there’s no winter break like other leagues.
