Liverpool FC news recap: Trent WARNING, SHOCK Alisson BAN, Klopp Barca RAID
All the latest Liverpool FC news as we wrap up the first week of the October international break.
LEGEND ISSUES TRENT WARNING
What Trent Alexander-Arnold leaving Liverpool would indicate about the state of the footballing world going forward is concerning.
Despite winning the Premier League and Champions League with his boyhood club, it is telling that Trent choosing to join Real Madrid would seem like an ‘understandable’ decision.
If Liverpool are unable to keep a homegrown player that stars for their team then the days of football loyalty are dead and buried.
And former Liverpool player Jason McAteer is in full agreement with this sentiment.
ROMANO ISSUES VAN DIJK UPDATE
The futures of Mo Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk are all anyone is talking about surrounding Liverpool at the moment.
The situation is looming over what has otherwise been a tremendous start to the season like a dark cloud on a sunny day. It is exacerbated by the fact that all three have started their seasons in scintillating form.
Links to replacements for Salah and Trent are rife - this is not the case with van Dijk however.
This is a trend that was supported by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano this week.
KLOPP TIPPED TO RAID BARCA IN NEW ROLE
After leaving Liverpool at the end of last season, citing a lack of energy and ensuring fans that he wouldn't manage another club, many thought we wouldn't see Jurgen Klopp in the headlines for a while.
But just last week, it was announced that he's back, and is set to start work for energy drink giant Red Bull as their Head of Global Football, overseeing the brand's different clubs.
And in a new report from El Nacional, via FussballEuropa, Klopp is already working on moves behind the scenes, with four players being headhunted from Barcelona for transfers to the franchise.

As Virgil Van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent-Alexander-Arnold are just two months away from being able to negotiate with other clubs, it is no longer inconceivable that they might leave the club.
Each of them makes up the spine of Arne Slot's side as almost guaranteed names on the team sheet when fit.
And yet not even one of their contract sagas is even remotely close to being resolved according to recent reports and so Liverpool will likely enter next season with a significant loss on their hands.
In his latest column for the Daily Mail, Liverpool legend Graeme Souness has chimed in with his thoughts on how the contract dilemma will unfold.
POTENTIAL SHOCK BAN FOR ALISSON
Alisson has been a standout player not only for Liverpool since he joined the club but also for his national side, Brazil.
He was rewarded with his fantastic performances for Brazil by being made the then-most expensive goalkeeper of all time back in 2018 and has been a mainstay since.
However, in bizarre new claims made by the Brazilian President, he could be set to lose his place in the starting lineup.
DOAK ABANDONS SOCIAL MEDIA
Could we see Doak on his way out before the deadline?
Ben Doak has taken the north east by storm in a short time following his loan move to Middlesbrough this season.
The level of his performances are exciting those on Merseyside, with the 18-year oldshowing the development all involved at Liverpool were hoping for.
And the Scot is already showing wisdom well beyond his years off the pitch too. In an interview with the Daily Mail, he opened up about facing internet trolls and the effect that has had on his mental health.
BRADLEY CAPTAINS HIS COUNTRY
Conor Bradley for Northern Ireland
When he lead the Northern Ireland national team out in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary to take on Belarus last night, Conor Bradley became the youngest captain in the side’s history.
It is an enormous achievement for the 21-year old and shows that, despite being Liverpool’s backup right-back, his talent is enormous. And being held out of the team by Trent Alexander-Arnold is nothing to be ashamed of.
And it was almost the dream start for the Liverpool man as he had the ball in the back of the net just nine minutes in, only for it to be ruled out for offside.

According to reports, a trophy-winning Liverpool midfielder is set to return to training in the near future.
Arne Slot hasn't had too many injury problems to contend with in his reign as Liverpool manager so far.
The Reds' boss has not rotated his squad too much but Slot's methods seems to be working.
Liverpool have been able to field their strongest XI for the vast majority of their 10 games this season.
That will change with the injury Alisson picked up against Crystal Palace but on the other hand, Harvey Elliott is on the comeback trail and there's another very talented midfielder whos is about to make a return to first team action according to the latest reports.
