Live event: 'Count us in: The census, the election and the Latinx community’

Tune in here on Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. ET for “Count us in,” a lively 40-minute discussion aimed at inspiring and informing the Latinx community to stand up and be counted — in the U.S. census and in the presidential election. The event is organized and hosted by Verizon Media.

About this event: To kick off National Hispanic Heritage Month and as the deadline to complete the U.S. census quickly approaches, this panel of Latinx thought leaders and newsmakers will discuss the importance to the Latinx community of completing the census questionnaire and making their voices heard in the upcoming U.S. presidential election.

The panel will be moderated by veteran television anchor and Verizon host Diana Alvear and will feature insights from Arturo Vargas, CEO of NALEO Educational Fund; Tom Saenz, president and general counsel of MALDEF; and Clarissa Martinéz de Castro, deputy vice president of policy and advocacy at UnidosUS.
