Jill Biden caps night 2 of the Democratic National Convention as Joe officially becomes the nominee
Joe Biden officially became the Democratic nominee on Tuesday during the second night of the virtual 2020 Democratic National Convention. The evening featured speeches from former President Bill Clinton, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, former Secretary of State Colin Powell, health care activist and ALS patient Ady Barkan, former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates and Jill Biden, who delivered the night’s final keynote live from a high school classroom in Wilmington, Del., where she once taught English.
