Lindsey Vonn reveals some details of upcoming wedding but admits planning isn't her 'strong suit'

Some people have their dream wedding fully planned out before they're even engaged — but it sounds like Lindsey Vonn is not one of those people.

The Olympic gold medalist, 35, announced her engagement to New Jersey Devils defenseman P.K. Subban, 30, in August, just a few months after officially retiring from competitive skiing. While you might think retirement would give her plenty of time to plan her upcoming nuptials, that hasn't exactly been the case.

Vonn told People that she's still "trying to sort" out the details of the couple's big day and admitted that wedding planning wasn't her "strong suit" — but did reveal that the pair are looking at a summer ceremony so Subban won't be distracted during the NHL season.

"I'm kinda missing that female gene," she said of planning.

Back in July, Vonn gave AOL Sports a sneak peek of the projects she was undertaking in retirement, including a memoir, a clothing collaboration with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, a documentary, a feature film, and even her own beauty line.

"I'm really busy," Vonn said at the time, "which is awesome because it takes my mind off of not skiing anymore."

Vonn's decorated skiing career was also honored at this year's ESPY Awards. She retired with three Olympic medals — one gold, two bronze — as well as two golds and eight total medals at the World Championships.
