Lights off at Tynecastle?

Brian McLauchlin, BBC Sport Scotland

Hearts had been linked with a move for former Motherwell striker Kevin Van Veen, but with Lawrence Shankland now looking highly likely to be staying put - for the meantime at least - there was no real reason for the club to make the deal happen.

Steven Naismith's priority was always to bring in a right-sided full-back or wing-back, and in Wolves loanee Dexter Lembikisa, they have certainly found that.

The signing of Scott Fraser on loan from Charlton will also add a stiffness to the midfield that has been lacking for much of the season.

Looks like the window has also closed now for Hearts.
