Hagel scored his goal with 11:42 remaining in the second period. The star forward was patient while stickhandling the puck before beating Predators goalie Juuse Saros with a long-distance wrist shot. His shot also changed direction after hitting Predators defender Alexandre Carrier.

It took Hagel 315 games to score his 100th career goal. The majority of his first 100 goals have come as a member of the Lightning, too, as he now has 70 as a Bolt.
