Legendary referee calls for SEVERE David Coote punishment

The Professional Game Match Officials Ltd (PGMOL) on Monday suspended Premier League referee David Coote.

Coote, 42, was captured on film insulting Liverpool and making personal remarks about former manager Jurgen Klopp. The official has since confirmed that it was him in the video and PGMOL has launched a full investigation.

Former referee chief Keith Hackett believes the organisation has acted decisively in suspending Coote for his alleged behaviour and called on PGMOL to mete out ‘the most severe’ sanction if found guilty.
