Leafs Prevail in Low-Scoring Battle of Ontario, Rangers Snap Jets Winning Streak in Tuesday Best Bets

Tuesday offers up plenty of chances to hit it big with seven games on the NHL slate. We've been starting to heat up with our picks lately as we've secured a 8-5 record over our last 13 picks. Our puck line predictions have also been improving as of late with a 4-1 record over our last five picks.

All betting lines are from Bet365 and are subject to change. Hockey is a difficult sport to predict so please gamble responsibly.

Bet: Leafs ML (-125), Senators Leafs Under 5.5 goals (-105)

This game desperately wants you to take the over as people expect the feisty Battle of Ontario will see plenty of goals but both teams are rolling out elite netminders with Ottawa's Linus Ullmark and Toronto's Anthony Stolarz.

They dropped the line to 6.0 and have it at plus money to try and entice betters. We know how physical games between these two teams get and over this season, Toronto has used their physical style of play to keep games low-scoring. The Buds have played six straight games where they've totaled under seven goals and four straight games totaling under six goals heading into tonight.

Ottawa should also keep things low-scoring thanks to Linus Ullmark, who has a 2.44 goals against average and a .921 save percentage over his last six starts versus Toronto. The Senators have been a brutal road team this season with a 2-5-0 road record compared to the Maple Leafs' 7-2-0 record at home.

Bet: Rangers ML (-130), Jets Rangers Under 6.5 goals (-140)

The Winnipeg Jets have the greatest start to an NHL season in history with wins in 14 of their first 15 games. They look to stay hot against a very difficult New York Rangers team that is 9-3-1 on the season.

The Big Apple will be a big stage for the Jets to show the entire hockey world why they are such a prolific hockey club. Winnipeg is an underdog in this spot despite winning three of their last four games against the Rangers, including their last two trips to New York.

I believe they are favoured for a reason as the Jets are due for a loss and the plus money option for them is meant to draw in betters just for the Rangers to prevail.

The Jets have not lost on the road yet this season and Connor Hellebuyck will be in net with a 11-1-0 record and a 1.83 goals against average. Since last season, the Rangers are 34-13-1 with a 2.71 goals against average at home.

It'll be a tight defensive game with these two teams totaling under seven goals in seven straight matchups.

Bet: Rasmus Andersson Over 0.5 points (+132), Flames Over 2.5 goals (-115), Flames Canucks Over 6.5 goals (+100)

The Flames are one of the rare teams that has a defenceman leading their team in points and with his four goals and seven assists, Rasmus Andersson leads Calgary with 11 points through 16 games this season.

The 28-year-old Swede has gone through a bit of a dry spill as of late with just one point over his last eight games. He'll get a good chance to land on the scoresheet at least once going against a Canucks team that has the worst home goals against average in the league this season at 4.67 through only six games.

It's a small sample size but Andersson normally does well against the Canucks with a pair of goals and three assists for five points over their last five matchups. He should lead an impressive offensive output from the Flames that helps lift the game to the over.
