Lazio Star On Rest Vs Ajax In Europa League: ‘I Was Being Kept Fresh’ For Serie A Clash Vs Inter Milan

Lazio forward Tijani Noslin said that he was being “kept fresh” to face Inter Milan in his team’s Europa League win over Ajax.

Noslin spoke to Dutch broadcaster Ziggo, via FCInterNews. The 25-year-old also gave his thoughts on his relationship with legendary former Inter and Netherlands midfielder Wesley Sneijder.

Noslin was not in the starting eleven for Lazio’s Europa League match against Ajax yesterday. Nor did the Dutchman come off the bench.

That is in spite of the fact that Noslin has been in impressive form recently.

The former Hellas Verona and Sparta Rotterdam underlined that against Napoli over the weekend.

Noslin came off the bench for that Serie A clash at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. And he really made his appearance count.

The 25-year-old made a spectacular assist for teammate Gustav Isaksen to score the winner.

Now the question is whether Noslin will feature against Inter.

The Biancocelesti and the Nerazzurri face off on Monday evening in a match that feels certain to have some real Serie A title implications.

“I was secretly hoping that I could get onto the pitch,” Noslin admitted after yesterday’s match.

“But I’m more than happy with the win.”

The Dutchman continued that “The coach explained to me that he wanted to keep me fresh for Monday’s match, when we play against Inter.”

“I hope that I can play in that match,” Noslin added. “But we’ll see how it goes.”

“I always have respect for the coach’s decisions,” the Dutchman continued. “I’m really happy to be here.”

“Of course I would’ve liked to play against Ajax, but that’s ok.”

And Noslin also opened up about the advice he’s gotten from legendary former Inter and Ajax midfielder Wesley Sneijder. “I’m still growing,” he said. “I still have a lot to learn.”

“Wesley often tells me that I need to get more consistent, and I need to keep working hard.”
