Kyle Lowry to have wrist surgery, likely gone until playoffs

Toronto Raptors all-star guard Kyle Lowry will have surgery on his right wrist Tuesday and will likely miss the remainder of the regular season.

The team announced Monday that Lowry would undergo the procedure to remove what it termed "loose bodies" in the injury wrist.

Lowry suffered the injury Feb. 15 against the Charlotte Hornets.

He participated in the Feb. 18-19 all-star weekend, including the three-point contest, but has missed the team's two games since.
