Koji Gibson Commits To Northern Michigan
Vernon Vipers forward Koji Gibson has committed to Northern Michigan, it was announced last week.
Hailing from North Vancouver, BC., Gibson is in his first junior season with the Vipers, putting up one goal and three points in 16 games.
Prior to making the jump to the BCHL, Gibson suited up for Burnaby Winter Club U18 Prep in 2023-24, collecting four goals and seven points in three games.
Drafted in the fifth round of the 2022 WHL Bantam Draft by the Seattle Thunderbirds, it will be interesting to see if Gibson joins Seattle at all over the next couple years. A skilled player who makes good decisions with the puck, Gibson has the wherewithal to find players through layers of pressure and should translate well to the NCAA.
