Ilya Andryukhov of Amur in the KHL entered the game on Thursday against Avtomobilist facing a 4-0 deficit and did all he could to keep his team in it. Down 5-0 in the third, the netminder absolutely robbed Artyom Gareyev with a stunning glove save as the forward was staring down a wide open goal.
Amur would go on to lose 5-2 but you can’t fault the effort of Andryukhov for trying to give Amur a fighting chance.

The appearance was only the fourth in the KHL for the 26-year-old Andryukhov.
