Kawhi Leonard gets a ride back to Toronto on Drake's private jet

With the Toronto Raptors’ championship parade set for Monday morning, the celebration isn’t over just yet. But with so much riding on an incredibly important offseason, you can’t fault Raptors fans for steering their attention toward the future.

Kawhi Leonard’s impending free agency decision has loomed over this franchise from the moment the Raptors traded for him nearly a year ago. The 2019 NBA Finals MVP was widely expected to be one-and-done in Toronto, but there have been signs pointing toward Kawhi re-signing with the Raptors throughout the season.

The biggest sign, as you can imagine, was Leonard’s jubilation after winning his second NBA championship with Toronto. The man said he wants to win, and with Kawhi on the roster this team looks primed to compete for years to come.

But nothing is certain until the Board Man makes his decision, and until then, Raptors fans are going to keep trying to read the tea leaves whenever they can in order to get a sense of where Kawhi may be leaning.

And if you ever felt that Drake’s role with the team was an advantage for the Raptors, you’ll love this tweet below.

When the newly-crowned King of the North needs a ride back to Canada, your typical first class experience apparently just doesn’t cut it.

After Drake met the Raptors in Vegas for a championship throw down, Kawhi hopped on the Toronto rapper’s new $220+ million private jet for a flight back to Canada.

Leonard seems to be tight with the Raptors’ global ambassador, and it may be hard for the Toronto faithful not to see this as another positive sign.

He stay? We’ll likely know in a couple of weeks, but this development likely has Raptors fans feeling pretty good about it.
