K-State, ranked No. 25 a week ago, fell out of the rankings after losing 33-30 at Texas in overtime on Saturday. The Wildcats, second in the “others receiving votes” category, moved to 6-3 overall, 4-2 in the Big 12.
The Jayhawks, who defeated Iowa State 28-21 on Saturday in Ames, Iowa, improved to 7-2 (4-2 Big 12). They were ranked No. 22 a week ago.
Mizzou, meanwhile, moved just outside the top 15 after falling 30-21 at top-ranked Georgia on Saturday. The Tigers are now 7-2 overall, 3-2 in the Southeastern Conference.
