Jorge Masvidal and Kamaru Usman get into verbal confrontation at Super Bowl Radio Row
UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and BMF champion Jorge Masvidal may have a fight in their future, but it wasn’t supposed to be on a Wednesday afternoon in Miami.
Usman and Masvidal got into a verbal altercation at Super Bowl Radio Row, which got so heated that they almost started fighting right there.

“Do something!” Usman shouted at Masvidal. “That’s all I hear you talking. Do something! You come up talking. Do something!” Usman had been close to Masvidal and was getting closer, until someone on his team started moving him back. That’s when Masvidal started blowing kisses at Usman, which you can hear pretty clearly even when the camera is on Usman.
Masvidal then laughed at Usman, who was being led away, and answered, “You got a cast on, bitch. I ain’t going to take advantage of you like that. You got a cast on bitch. You lucky. That’s the only reason nothing’s happening.”
Masvidal’s cast comment is in regards to Usman’s left hand, which was recently injured during his TKO of Colby Covington at UFC 245 in December. Usman then accused Masvidal of being scared of him even with a cast.
It’s pretty clear that the two might have started throwing punches if Usman hadn’t been led away. There’s already a lot of heat between these two, and they aren’t even scheduled to fight each other yet. If they ever do get that fight scheduled, we can obviously expect a serious escalation in hostilities — and given what happened at Super Bowl Radio Row, that’s kind of hard to imagine.
