Jones-Drew to join Raiders today
The Oakland Raiders have agreed to a three-year contract with running back Maurice Jones-Drew and he'll sign later today pending a physical, according to ESPN.
Jones-Drew arrived in Oakland for a visit on Thursday.
He'll be the Raiders' new starting running back, working in tandem with Darren McFadden.
Jones-Drew grew up in Oakland.
For his career, Jones has 8,071 rushing yards and 68 touchdowns.
Jones-Drew previously visited the Pittsburgh Steelers, but they didn't reach a deal.
The Steelers are going to have in New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount for a visit on Friday, according to a league source.
Jones-Drew led the league in rushing in 2011 with 1,606 yards. He held out in 2012 and then suffered through an injury-plagued season. He had 803 yards rushing last season.
